Win a free Adventure Monkey T-shirt!

I have dreams, big dreams in fact. For now it is going to start with Adventure Monkey t-shirts (other gear and products in the works). There has been some discussion and disagreement at Adventure Monkey HQ about t-shirts. There are so many choices of colors, sizes, t-shirt styles and different designs and logos. This is where YOU come in. 

I need your help. I am not writing much today. I want YOUR input in the form of comments. If you want to email me that will be OK, but please leave comments on the comment area of this blog post. Here’s the deal. 

We have eight different t-shirt designs and I want to know what you think. I came up with a few different sayings and one new logo. Some of the sayings are funny but maybe a bit crude. Instead of wondering and trying to guess what you think, just tell me. Possible comments could be: 

  • I love t-shirt X but would rather have it in blue
  • this design is disgusting
  • if you made up this t-shirt I would buy one immediately
  • I want 500 now

Which do you like? What colors? Which do you not like? Which do you think would actually sell? so on and so forth. By entering a comment you have a chance at winning your favorite t-shirt!

After I tally your comments, we will make our final decisions on which to produce and begin the pre-ordering process. So let the comments begin! (click on the t-shirts to see a larger image)

Chris Jerred - Color: I personally stay away from shirts that are the same color as my pants or riding shorts, that way I don’t look like a UPS delivery boy. So brown, black, and gray are not my favorite, although I do like gray.

The front logo/cartoons are good, but I think they should be a bit bigger, or moved to one side if left the same size.

The back moto/website is okay, but maybe could have a watermark or outline of mountains/forest/bicycle or something behind it. Although it is a advertizement, it doesn’t have to look like it.

That’s my two cents.
Thanks for doing what all the rest of us are too scared to do with our lives.

Beth Y - Cycle Monkey is my favorite, because I think it holds alot of the spirit of your blog, story, life, etc. It would be awesome if you could offer it in a white AND pink (for the ladies).

Skateboarding Monkey is my 2nd fave, hands down. I’d totally buy that if it was available in child sizes because my son loves anything skateboard related. :)

Darren Alff - I personally like gray as a color, but I think your graphics need to be bigger and your text smaller. I don’t like to wear shirts that are strictly advertisements, so if the shirts had more design appeal I would certainly wear one.

Kevin Kiddle - I would stick with the lighter colors. I know black looks cool, but wearing a black shirt in the summer sun is just plain uncomfortable

Pat Halderman - OK, here goes. I am a woman and I never wear pink! I wear red or purple or orange and yellow, never grey, brown. I usually cut the sleeves off, so what about sleeveless?? or tank top??

I like “cycle monkey” or “adventure monkey” for a logo but not too giant in size, and nothing that can be thought of as “off color”. I work with kids. :)

Renee - Love them all! If I had to choose I would buy the “love your monkey” because well, that’s so dear to me I have it tattooed on me :) . I would like that on in purple or black with purple writing. The skateboard ones are awesome. Black, grey and brown are safe and could go either way.

Linda Z - My favorite color is the brown. I still like Adventure Monkey across the front but also like the cycling monkey and don’t give up tees. I think the don’t spank one is hilarious but I’d probably end up only wearing it the same place I wear my Effingham (IL) tee (in my house).

Sam - I like the Adventure Monkeys on Logo design. But this is similar to the orginal t-shirt. I would love to see this print black, on a white tech-shirt, that i can run 5k’s or otherwise be active and sweaty in.

Julie Goodman - I like all of them but I would go with the adventure Monkey because it shows all of the adventures not just one so it is a great all around shirt. I like the green however I would offer maybe a burnt orange and a Pink. Great designs..very creative!

SFuller - I’m partial to black or brown. My favorite out of those is the cycle monkey followed closely by “Don’t Spank”

Kevin - Love Monkey in brown is definitely the best girly-type shirt up there.
The Cycle Monkey is (for obvious reasons) my favorite overall, but I’m just immature enough to want Don’t Spank :)

James Rick - I’m really feeling the Adventure Monkey tee, but the Large Feed Your Monkey is growing on me. Of course, Cycle Monkey is what brought me to your site in the first place, and love monkey gives me a happy feeling inside. Then again, Never Give Up is the attitude I’ve used since an accident nearly paralyzed me. Hey, man, I’m loving them all. I do concur with Chris’ comment about the faint watermark on the back – that would make it something special. Colorwise, the faded earthtones are my current preference over plain stock colors. Great job on all you’ve been doing. Discovering your site has truly inspired me.

Jenni in KS - 1)I really like the Never Give Up.
2)I usually stay away from pink, so that one is out.
3)I would almost go for the brown, but it has a pink monkey. The pink lettering isn’t so bad, but I can’t handle the pink monkey. I think both my daughters (13 and 18) would like the brown shirt the best.
4)This one’s okay, but I think I would like it better with the big design on back.
5)Very funny. I wouldn’t wear it, but both my boys (16 and 20) would. My husband might even wear it. I know he would laugh at it.
6)The light grey is a little too plain for me.
7)This is my favorite! Green is my color and I LOVE the little monkeys all over the lettering.
8)This would be my 16yods’ favorite, although “Spank” would be close competition. If you make it, I will buy him one. And I think I also need to buy one for oldest dd’s boyfriend who is a skater.

Dan - My favorite is the Adventure Monkeys on Logo design because it shows several types of adventure. I also like the color of that shirt, although the gray would be good also. I would buy that one if it made the final cut.
My second favorite is the Cycle Monkey, because that is my monkeys favorite mode of adventure.
My third choice would be the Large Feed Your Monkey design.
I like the Don’t Spank design, but I would not be able to wear that everywhere, so I doubt that I would buy that one.

Gary Fleming - I love the concepts. If I had to pick one, My overall favorite design is the Never Give Up design inspired by the Dirty Kanza 200. I also love and would incorporate the Cycle Monkey and Adventure Monkeys on Logo. To lay it all out I would put the Adventure Monkeys on Logo on the front of the shirt by itself. On the back of the shirt I would put the Feed Your Monkey and URL above the Cycle Monkey with the the Never give Up slogan. As far as colors I like the white on black and the black on sage…

Of the options you show… I like the Never Give Up the best, closely followed by Cycle Monkey and Adventure Monkeys on logo.

I would go black, hunter/army green, or DEEP red. Not a fan of the pink, nor the brown w/ pink text.

Greg - I like the Cycle Monkey the best, the one with many monkeys is very cool too. I am partial to the green and brown, but not the pink text.

Deek - Biker monkey design on the dark gray of the “Don’t Spank” shirt, or in black. “Never Give Up” is also good. My wife would like a running monkey design, that she may or may not spank from time to time.

MOM - I like the large logo feed your monkey. I like it in a darker green…….The Moneky is a great trademark and I think it should stand out……………..good idea to put the address on the back.

steve mcrae - T-shrits are great, but how about one of those polyester self wicking shirts we all see and love when out on the golf course or riding a bike? Soemthhing with a longish tail so my fat stomach doesn’t cause it to ride up in back. No one likes plumbers riding bikes!

Jon - I like the large adventure monkey the best. That one looks like the most monkey for the money. Cycle monkey is a close second…i like bikes.
